For any medical problem that someone is trying to look up I think Web MD is the place to be. Just on tonsils they have 6 pages of information for you. The information they give you is very extensive and in depth. They automatically give you links to other diagnosis if you have certain symptoms. Such as if you had swollen lymph nodes which is one symptoms of tonsillitis they give you link to other things that are caused by swollen lymph nodes. Web MD gives you extensive links to help you with your situation which is one of the main things I like about the site. It gives you information on what increase your risk of getting tonsillitis and other ear, nose, and throat complications. They offer doctor references and home treatment to when you should call a doctor. Another great thing about web md is that have sub links off their own links which benefits you greatly because if you can’t find what you’re looking for on their page they give you other options to go to. It’s not like some other sites that if you can’t find anything there they don’t give you other options.

Even thought web md is a great site and has truthful information there are some downfalls. Like the kids health page web md doesn’t off a lot of visual pictures to look at. They are very descriptive on everything but I think it would help a lot if they had some pictures. Also they have a lot of flash advertisements that takes the focus off the subject you are trying to look up. I think that is a downfall you wouldn’t want to be reading something and have a purple monkey flashing in the corner saying shoot me for free ipod. Overall if you and in depth coverage with many sub links to other sites and information on what you need then web md is for you.
