*This site is posted by the AAO-HNS(American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery). The section that is focused on in my review is the Ears, Nose, and Throat section. The AAO-HNS posted this site so that parents and people can understand when to see a doctor and what to expect. This site offers a way to tell if a problem you are having is serious and whether or not to see a doctor.
*If anyone has any questions on tonsils or adenoids this is a great site. This site provides a visual picture on the passageways of the nose and throat. This helps people that are not in the medical field to better understand how things can affect the tonsils and adenoids. Along with the picture labeling the adenoids, collapsible airway, soft palate, uvula, and tonsils it gives a short description of what affects these areas and how it happens.
*This site also allows people/parents to see if their symptoms/they’re child’s symptoms are serious enough to visit a doctor. With this, it explains what to expect at the doctor’s office. They list the primary methods used to check for tonsil and adenoid problems. They also list tonsillitis and enlarged adenoid symptoms.
*This ENT Health Website also offers a glance at before and after surgery for tonsils and adenoids. They explain to you how to talk to your child in this situation and how to prepare for surgery. They explain further what to expect during and after surgery.*I think this is an awesome site for anyone with tonsil or adenoid problems. It provides an in depth look at what symptoms to look for, what to expect at the doctors exam and surgery. This site should help anyone with any questions about tonsils, adenoids, or even surgery for these problems.
